Tell me more about this yarn.

The yarn I sell comes from shop closings, personal stashes, estate sales, overstocks, and indie dyers. Most has been discontinued by the mills and is available in very limited quantities. I check it closely for cleanliness, felting, undesirable scents, and moth damage. If needed, I will vacuum/shake out any dust, tape up labels, and make it as presentable as possible. At times, labels will be damaged or balls will be in a somewhat messy condition. This will be noted in the description. Discontinued Designer Yarns is committed to bringing you the best vintage natural fiber yarns at fair prices. I sell what I love, which is gorgeous, top quality, rare and discontinued yarn and fiber.

How do I track my order?

When we ship via Priority Mail, a tracking number will be provided to you, emailed with your receipt. USPS Media Mail orders take longer to arrive, and include tracking.

What are your delivery options?

I use USPS Priority Mail and UPS. UPS requires a physical address for delivery.

Orders over $99 ship for $9.00 (under ten pounds). Regretfully, free shipping is an expense that a very small business can not absorb. My flat rates are heavily discounted from my actual costs and includes $50 insurance. If you'd like additional services such as signature confirmation and higher insurance, please contact me.

Special note during my closing sale.

All orders over ten pounds in weight will be quoted and shipping will be billed separately.

 

 

How can I contact you about selling my stash or inventory?

I'm no longer buying stash/inventory.

Do you provide International delivery?

Not at this time.

What is your returns policy?

All sales are final except in the event of hidden damage. Our yarns come from knitters who may have stored them in ways where they could be subjected to moth damage. Each skein is inspected prior to listing on the site, however, this is not always evident. If you find hidden damage to your yarn, please contact me within 30 days. In this case, you may return it for store credit, with return shipping at your expense.

The fine print.

I do my best to write accurate descriptions of the yarns I sell, and depict colors as accurately as possible. Please let me if you find a typo or other mistake in yardage or fiber and I will correct it ASAP. Thanks!
