Bristol Yarn Gallery was a Plymouth Yarns brand of coordinating high end, textured yarns plus one smooth worsted. This is their Suri Alpaca, called Lafayette. It's a dense, smoky black, super soft, bulky weight. It would be great for accents: cuffs, collars, cowls, and other items such as simple scarves (I knit six of them back in the day). It would also be nice as a texture in weaving, and it feels strong enough to me for use as a warp yarn on a rigid heddle loom.
