This is a really unusual vintage yarn. It's probably also the oldest one in the collection though I have not been able to find out anything about it. I'm guessing early1940s. The construction is a tightly wrapped very thin core with long "seeds", up to 1". It would be absolutely fabulous in a weaving project, maybe combined with a matte black wool boucle. Very shiny. Could also be used as a carry-along yarn in the knitting project.
