I have 2 balls of this interesting yarn. The texture is a thick and thin loose chainette structure. I've never seen anything exactly like it. The color is a rich ruby maroon red. Made in Finland. One extra ball sans label is available free if you buy these two.
 
Projects? Consider knitted lace; the texture of the yarn creates a lovely dimension to the knit. Also great for weaving and crochet!
