#16720.01
Here's a chart for a lace shawl I'm working on. It looks like something that's probably been done by someone at some point, but I also designed it myself "from scratch". If anyone has a reference to this exact pattern in a stitch book, please let me know, otherwise I'm claiming it as my invention!
It's sorta-kinda based on Print o' the Wave, a traditional Shetland stitch, but much smaller, and without the very strong parallel zigzag lines that divide the segments.
This is a variation of a larger stitch pattern that I'm using in the main section of the shawl.
Yarn: Briggs and Little Sport, Rose. Single ply wool.
Needle: 4.5mm (US 7)
Size: 30 sts, 32 rows
Directions:
Row 1 (RS): K1, (k1, yo, ssk, k4), (yo, ssk, k4) x 3, yo, ssk, k2. (30 sts) Row 2 and all WS rows: K1, p28, k1. Row 3: K1, (k2, yo, ssk, k1, k2tog, yo), (k1, yo, ssk, k1, k2tog, yo) x 3, k4. Row 5: K1, (k4, k2tog, yo, k1), k3, (k2tog, yo, k4) x 2, k2tog, yo, k5. Row 7: K1, (yo, ssk, k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo), (ssk, k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo) x 3, ssk, k3. Row 9: Repeat row 1. Row 11: K1, (k2, yo, ssk, k1, k2tog, yo), (k1, yo, ssk, k1, k2tog, yo) x 3, k1, yo, ssk, k1.
Repeat these 12 rows for pattern.
