#160902

I'm working on a set of variations of this chart. No project in mind right now, but I can see this used as a cardigan border... The original is from a Russian knitting website; below is the pattern recharted with US symbols. The actual chart is 15 stitches x 8 rows, but I've shown a total of four repeats long and 2 wide. This one takes a little concentration on the wrong side rows, but I think the resulting knit is worth it.

Yarn: Brown Sheep Nature Spun Sport. 3-ply wool, Meadow Green (look at that great stitch definition!).

Needle: 3.75mm (US 5)

Sample size: 35 sts x 44 rows (5 repeats)

Multiple of 15 sts.

Row 1 (RS): K3, yo, k2, ssk, p6, k2tog, k2, yo, k1, yo, k2, ssk, p6, k2tog, k2, yo, k3. (35 sts) Row 2 (WS): K2, p5, k6, p9, k6, p5, k2. Row 3: K4, yo, k2, ssk, p4, k2tog, k2, yo, k3, yo, k2, ssk, p4, k2tog, k2, yo, k4. Row 4: K2, p6, k4, p11, k4, p6, k2. Row 5: (K5, yo, k2, ssk, p2, k2tog, k2, yo) x 2, k5. Row 6: K2, p7, k2, p13, k2, p7, k2. Row 7: K6, yo, k2, ssk, k2tog, k2, yo, k7, yo, k2, ssk, k2tog, k2, yo, k6. Row 8: K2, p5, k6, p9, k6, p5, k2. Repeat these 8 rows for pattern.
